Time is clicking
Only 18 days and we'll be on the road
This is a beauty
Almost as big as.......
This passenger ship
On my last trip to Chatham I stopped by the pond on my way home
The swans are gone
I walked around the pond and found this fellow sitting on the limb
I quietly approached him expecting him to fly off but he did not
And this fellow flew over my head making all sorts of noise
I kept looking to see where he would land and was lucky enough to get this shot
The freighter passed the tall ship
The 8th annual dock breakfast put on by the Hadfield and Marsh families
Do you recognize this fine man?
Chris Hadfield, our Canadian astronaut
Spotted this on our way home from the breakfast
Easy way to kayak
Can you see the rope?
Joe and I spent a Sunday afternoon at my brother's apartment which overlooks the river
Boat races were to start any minute
Looked down the street and this is what I saw!
They are off
You can see Port Huron MI in the background
The race is 'put on hold' while the freighter makes its way down river
They even had dingy races!!!
Oh my gosh
This boat was little but boy was it mighty
There's that little guy again!
Side by side for a minute or so
Couldn't believe it when I saw the truck coming up the railroad track.....
Looking for a parking spot
Tracks again
One of the winners
Once the race was over it didn't take long for everyone to clear out
It was quiet once again!!
Last Thursday I drove down to La Salle to visit my friend Sue
Friday morning she was busy in the kitchen making a banana cream pie
Sue's daughter Mary Ann came over to help Mom with a photo project
She is getting a 'little massage' from Mom
While Sue was in the kitchen I sat down with Mary Ann and together we worked on a few pages of the book
We had a lot of laughs
What one didn't think of the other did!
Friday evening all the girls came to Sue's
We went out for dinner then back to Sue's for dessert
'Banana cream pie'
It was soooooo good!!!!
Had a sleepover
Donna was the first to put on her 'nightie'
Old friends
Donna Mae Anita (Mugan) Janette
Georgette and Sue
Love them to bits
The next morning Sue got out her jewelry cleaning 'gadget'
We all went home with clean jewelry ha ha
Sunday afternoon
I was at my brother's place in Sarnia and noticed there were hundreds of tubers floating down river starting out in Port Huron
When Joe picked me up at Pier 90 we saw the coast guard and helicopter
The helicopter went back and forth in front of our cottage
Up and down the river
Over and over again
On into the late evening as well
Shipping traffic had been halted during the down river tubing
Joe had his radio on and could hear the Captain of the Salty wanting to pass the freighter
The freighter was going into the Shell dock so was barely moving
He said he would keep close to the Canadian side
The Salty went flying by
Busy river with the power boats and sailboats going by too
Unfortunately there was a drowning which happened during the tubing
Such sadness
It's Monday
The river is calm once again

Goodbye Blue Belle
I honestly felt sad leaving her here at the dealership
She took good care of us when we were on the road
Well done Blue Belle
Hello Goober
Now...... Goober's job is to pull Miss Gypsy
ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM
The colour of the truck is Prairie Pearl
(sort of a pale green)
Can you guess who named the truck???
Oh brother
Here comes another storm
End of the storm
Sure do have green grass with all the rain we've had!
Sky kept changing
The sky last night
