TWENTY FOUR SLEEPS TILL THE NEXT ADVENTURE

Here it is November 7th
A beautiful warm sunny day in the Okanagan
(yesterday)

last post october 20

The wall of B/W photos are back up

Lots of stone brought in for the septic system

Ah.....a picture is worth a 1000 words

Taken from my kitchen window

Oh.....the saga of Stella
ZO BO
She has been 'stored' in Gail's garage in Kelowna
Graham got her on to the flatbed for her trip back to Penticton
Quite the ordeal to get her on the flatbed due to her low front bumper
She actually flew onto the bed
Seriously!!!!!!!!

The shack is now the same colour of green as the winery
Next............trim and the screen door
Joe is still working on a cement wall to the basement door
Lots and lots of time put in to this one!

We took a ride up to Apex Mountain
which is a ski area
Did encounter snow at the top!
Surprised to see this 'little' herd of cows
Interesting ol' homestead in the background

I had spotted this Ford on the way up
Took a closer look!!
Don't you wonder whose hands have been on the wheel?????
Lots of stories I'm sure

A neat old gate

Oh my.......the horse's tale and mane were full of burrs
Now that's got to be uncomfortable
I was making all sorts of noises as I looked at him
Joe said.............
He is just fine, happy and free!!!!!!!!!

Poor Stella
She had a bit of a time getting off the flatbed
Graham had to pull her
All I will say is..........
Stella told me to keep those O'Rourke boys away from her!
BUT
I do have to say one more thing

THANK YOU O'ROURKE BOYS

Couldn't have gotten her to the vineyard without  their sheer determination as they worked out the puzzle

Working on the soffits

Sun coming through the clouds on to the lake

HUNTER

One BC apple
Orchard across the lane way from the farm

On my way up to the Kettle Valley (KV) trail

A little putting green on a property

Someone own these gloves???

Ha
This rock caught my eye
You could make a face with the rock!

Fall is here

Looking toward the  city of Penticton

One never knows where one's Mother might be!

Our little home is down there
Right beside the winery
Air stream is sitting down there too

Everywhere I looked I saw beauty
There is a hymn.....
For the beauty of the earth
For the beauty of the skies

Merlot being dumped into the conveyor and then to the DE stemmer

The last grapes of the season

Grapes and juice to fermentation

Stems to compost

Winery taking shape
Front windows .....tasting room

Making wine

Night before Halloween
Garen's very own pumpkin
Grown in the family garden

Here comes the power lift again

Last weekend Joe and I were in Salmon Arm for Ethan's hockey tournament
Boys did well
Won all but one game
This weekend they are in Kelowna

One of the visiting teams had a tour of the Salmon Arm Jr. Silver Backs' locker room
Lots of excited boys dreaming of their future

View from our room
Over in the left  corner of the photo is the osprey nest

See.............
You never know what you might see if you go off road
We were looking for a gas station as we left Salmon Arm
Heading towards Revelstoke
Had to turn around and head back to Salmon Arm

OUCH!!!!!!!!

Hello goat
We stopped at the Log Barn to purchase a 'home made' pie
Lots of goats to greet us

Joe picked out
Strawberry rhubarb

it was good

For our Ontario friends and family
I heard on the news this morning that you are going to get a cold front
As Joe said
a whampim
(this is Joe's own word)
