We took a helijet from Vancouver to Victoria
Jennifer and the dogs took the ferry and met us there
When we got back to Penticton we had Gwendolyn checked to see
how she was doing with the Valley Fever
Her blood work showed that she was improving!
April
Easter with Nana Gail in Kelowna
We were in Surrey for Ethan's hockey tournament
Mom and Dad were away on holiday in Italy
Garen stayed with Nana Gail for the weekend
This was something new for Granny and Papa
staying at a hotel with 'little' hockey players
Spent time at the pool with Garen while he had swimming lessons
You all remember Mugan and Casey's wedding in June of 2011
I flew home for Casey's funeral in Windsor
Joe drove home from Penticton with the dog and cats
Such sadness filled the air

Back home on the island
Every 3 weeks I traveled to Chatham to get my hair cut
On my way home I would check out the swan family at a pond near Port Lambton
Discovered baby owls on the island

Our great nephew Jakson danced at a pow wow

Every evening is beautiful on the St. Clair

He made the first cut
Will return in August for the main camp

Katy and Zoe have arrived in Canada
A Toronto trip to Wonderland
Oh how the kids love the river
It's all about family
Grandma Elaine and Papa Tom joined us at the cottage for dinner
Curt and Christina joined us every other weekend
Come 7 a m on a Saturday morning you would find Ray and Curt out in the boat hoping to catch some fish!

Best Friends Weekend...............first BFW 1985
We were missing Janette due to illness
Over the weekend we all attended the funeral of our beloved Sister Shirley
It was a blessing that we could be together afterward for a few days
Joe returned from his visit with Stephanie and Michael and spent an evening and following day with the girls
A first for A MALE to be anywhere around the cottage during our get-togethers over the years

Remember...it was stolen about a week before closing up the cottage

not paying attention to the gas gauge as I was too involved in listening to an audio tape
This is one of my all time favourite photos of a home from days gone by
To me it looks like a painting

We are back in Canada

What a great idea to choose pictures and events from each month for a year in review. I loved it! The only event I did not remember was the stolen motor from the boat. I also loved the photos of the hot air balloon and the abandoned house. So many wonderful memories with family. A celebration for sure! Thanks for sharing.
