Each spring Mr. and Mrs. Duck come for a visit
They check out the bird feeders each day
They are getting comfortable and are even resting on the lawn from time to time
I moved the furniture around
Not Joe's favouritte place for the sofa but it is mine
We take turns ha ha
When we are by ourselves we have the sofa close to the TV
When we know we are having guests for a few days we move things out
Hopefully we can keep it this way for the summer!
GADS
A water skier
Good thing he is wearing a wet suit
Ah.....what a wonderful life I have
Each year Joe goes on the St. Christopher High School canoe trip
This is my time to have friends at the cottage
Carole and her sister Elaine (visiting from England) spent Thursday night at the cottage
They were caught in a rain storm while waiting for the ferry
By the time they arrived at the cottage they were
DRENCHED
and
FROZEN
and
Talking a mile a minute with their beautiful British accent
Had tea and warm chocolate chip cookies waiting for them
The 'Widows'
The girls arrived at the cottage Friday evening
Just in time for dinner
They were here for the weekend
A fine time was had by all!
Joe is home from the canoe trip
Gwendolyn is happy
She was sticking to him like glue!
Lovely Gwendolyn
Do you think Joe was missed??????
One of our cold days
of which
we
have had many!
And.......
Lots of rain
Interesting skies
Bring interesting photos
Summer must be around the corner
Roar Roar Roar
What's this?
It's Joe!!
He spent the better part of an afternoon under the cottage
fixing a hot water pipe leak
HE DID A GOOD JOB
It was wonderful to have a warm bath once again
Thanks Joe!
Bing just hangin' out
Sun going down on the St. Clair
I heard all sorts of honking
Looked out the window and saw
a
LONG ROW OF CANADA GEESE COMING UP THE RIVER
I grabbed my camera and out the front door I went
The geese did not appreciate me!
Joe took this photo .............
I was not home at the time
I think I have him trained to be 'my eyes'
when I am not there!
More storms
Mr. and Mrs. Duck coming in for lunch
Oh Oh
Who do we have here?
I don't think this guy is welcome at the feeder
Actually
He was not welcome anywhere
Land or water
HA HA
Here I am
Come and get me!!!
Satuarday
We stopped by the pond on our way to Chatham
Tuesday
Stopped by the pond once again
Now there are only 3 babies
Do you see the heron in the background?
I spent a few hours at the pond
While there I met a lady who had
her camera as well
She spends almost every day at the pond
The herons put on quite a show for us
It was amazing to watch them chase each other
I was in my glory
This guy was making all sorts of noise
The little family had moved into an area where there lots of tree branches
SWEET EH
The photographer that I met at the pond took me on a walk
She showed me where the turtles laid their eggs
She told me about the different birds
It was a fun afternoon
I see such wonderful things through the lens of my camera
LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL
and
EACH DAY IS A GIFT

ReplyDeleteDianne, seeing your photos, and the stories you tell in such a few words, what can I say, but AWESOME! I am so glad we met and that we continue to be "long distance" friends! I agree, one can see so much more through the eyes of a lens. Love the photos of the animals with Joe. And, the sunset photo was spectacular, as were ALL your photos.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. You must have that camera ready at all times. Leaving tomorrow for my golfing week in Collingwood. Stopping half way to see friends in Seaforth they live in our community in AZ. Janet
ReplyDeleteThe photos showing weather conditions look SO familiar; that has been our weather for almost 3 weeks now, lots of cloudy skies, rain in many forms, and cool temps. A day of sunshine is rare. Love all the animal photos.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little behind in my emails and just got to this beautiful blog. What a privilege to share a little bit of your paradise.
