The last post of 2015
Right now I am saying I will have more blogs in 2016 than 2015!!
#15 is down
Hey......watch your stick there buddy
One of our last games cheering on Ethan and his teammates
During the last week of our stay in Pentction we moved up to the big house to stay with Ethan Garen Hunter Lucy Sweet Pea and Oscar while Graham and Lyndsay were away
Oh my gosh Hunter is soaking wet and filthy dirty from running in the vineyard
He won't be coming in the house until he is dry
On my way into town one night to catch Ethan's game I hit a deer
They came out of nowhere and it was dark
I did everything wrong like
Putting on the brakes
and
Swerving to the right
One of the deer managed to miss the truck
However
I did hit the bigger of the two
My heart was pounding like mad
What a thud!
I looked in the rear view mirror
I could see the deer tumbling but it managed to get up and limp away
THANK GOODNESS
Must say there was no oncoming traffic or traffic behind me
Just me and the deer!
Until next fall Ethan
Lyndsay's lavender was still blooming in November
I had two shadows while Lyndsay was away
Where I went they went
What fun for me!!!!!!!
Ah.....what can I say!!!!!!
Graham's rocking chair from when he was a little boy in the background
One last poppy
Each evening we would be downstairs watching TV
Each evening Finnegan would find his cozy place beside us
A cat's fascination with fish
Packing up for our trip to Arizona
Our little home on the vineyard
See you in September
We do get ourselves into tricky spots at times
Joe pulled into a lane way thinking it was a through street
NOPE
The train saved us...........
Luckily we were able to back up onto the street while traffic was stopped for the train
WHEW
Our first stop
State park in Washington State
You can see the bridge connecting Washington to Oregon
Fall decoration on a fence post
I wonder if once upon a time a house sat near the windmill and tree????
Cold nights
Interesting 'long' trailer
See the blue car?
On our first date Joe picked me up in his car
It looked similar to the that car but was black
Aunt Mamie sold her car to Joe for $75.00
It had holes in the floorboard on the passenger side!
Myrtle was her name
Myrtle got us to where we were going!
Ah
DONUTS
While Joe was filling up I dashed into the store to see if they had donuts
They did
Not very often do I treat myself to a donut
But
I did
It was soooo good
Just a plain honey dip
Nice and gooey
Interesting cloud formation
over the hills of Oregon
California at sunset
We went back to Hearst Castle for another tour
Took this photo for Garen as he is into Brazilian jiu jitsu
His cousin Beau also enjoyed the sport
An interesting love lamp in one of the guest bedrooms
Beautiful view looking out of the castle
This is Mr. Hearst's bedroom
However
He never got to stay in the room as he was too ill to make the trip to the castle
Joe was asked to take a photo of one of the couples in our group
Our tour guide in the forefront
She was excellent
On our way down from the castle this little guy scooted in front of the bus
Checked out the Elephant Seals while we were in the neighbourhood
While in California we stayed with our friends Marge and Rod
As always the welcome sign was out
We had a grand time
On our way to Arizona
Not sure what they were harvesting
Will have to have Marge comment
Along the way we kept seeing signs for
Peggy Sue's Diner
We decided to check it out and glad we did
Note the name carvings in the cactus
Wonder what people think sometimes????
We sat near the front door
Each time a customer would come in we would hear
'Welcome to Peggy Sue's
Follow the yellow brick road '
Sign outside the ladies washroom
Our waitress had personality +
Arizona here we come!!
We came across this little trailer at a rest stop
Cute eh
Joe talked to the fellow
He said there was just enough room for a bed
Arizona sunsets taken from our back deck
Our babies
The cats have done really well in having to stay indoors
although they would like to be outside
Sorry
The coyotes would be waiting!
Afternoon visitors at the bird feeder
The beautiful girl
For you Georgette
Welcome Home Zoe
Carley Granny and Momma holding the signs
You all know Granny would get teary
Tears of joy
Christmas Eve
Beau and Zoe got to open one gift
Beau and Kelsey showing us their dancing moves
THEY WERE GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!
Christmas morning
Papa and Granny are always the first up
Even at our age we are the most excited for the day to begin
A new purse
A new guitar
A new lacrosse stick
New flooring for the living and dining room
Day after Christmas

Wow what a whirl wind tour ! You two sure get around ! Thank you for the awesome photo of my lovely Gwennie :)
ReplyDeleteThat 50's Diner I bet if that came back, say downtown Sarnia it would be a hit ! Us baby boomers would love it, along with the jukebox carrying music from 50, 60 & 70's. Maybe when I retire....or better yet Gary. I don't see me ending what I so love doing ! Does you coming back to Chatham mean I'll see more of Gwennie ?
Congratulations Dianne & Joe. That didn't take long. What are your plans now?
ReplyDeleteGoing home to Chatham
