Since this was a surprise we were all standing behind

a school bus that was sitting at the 7th green of a

golf course

Just like on TV

The bus moved

and

there we were

A sweet 'tap' for the grandson

Oh my, it's my brother!

The son flew home for the weekend

The grandson and his band

A TWO YEAR WAIT

Dock repair is a supplier's market

We have been waiting for two years

for this particular supplier

Here we are a month before the wedding

- windows to put in front of cottage

- bunks to build

- peaked roof to build

- sliding glass door to install

AND

WHO COMES DOWN THE RIVER

THE BARGE

 ADDED TO THE LIST

- a dock to re-build

In the past we have seen barges come down river

We would get excited

Only

 to be disappointed

as the barge would pass us by!!!!!

NOT THIS TIME

HE PULLED RIGHT IN TO SHORE

TWO WEEKS EARLY

first born

We had returned from
Edmonton, Alberta
were Joe graduated
from the
University of Alberta

Joe had taken a position with a firm

about an hour's drive from where

we both were born and raised

I was staying with my parents
and

'doctoring'
 with our family physician

until baby was born

Joe would drive down to visit
every other night
On this particular night I had a
big surprise for him!!!

Since Joe was not a
 FAN
of hosptials

my Mom drove us to hospital

with Joe as the back seat driver

Even though

'from time to time'
 he had his head between

his legs

he was able to tell my Mom

to turn the car headlights on!!!!!

WHAT A PAIR

Upon  arrival at the hospital

the Dr. sent Joe home as he said it

would be a long time before

baby

would be born

SO

My Mom was the
lucky lady
to

keep me company in the labour room

I recall saying to her......

This isn't any fun

Well, if you know me

you know I do everything fast

from drinking my coffee, eating, walking to....

BABY

WAS  BORN FIVE AND A HALF HOURS LATER

7 LBS 1 OZ.

In days gone by (ha,ha,ha) Mother and baby

stayed in hosptial for a longer period than they do now days

Jennifer and I spent a week at the lovely 'resort'

It so happened My Mom was scheduled to

be in hospital around the same time
so for a few days

 we would vistit back and forth

How special was that!!

I wasn't too perky at this moment

for five months for that matter!

Had

Marnie, the pug

 and

Xeno, the siamese

 to keep me company

while Joe was at school

My Grandfather and Father built the shack
