plenty of fish.com
Plenty of fish.com sent the widow a message saying the widower added her name to his favourites. The widow responded typing.....
Nice to be added to your favourites but would be even nicer to hear from you
THUS THE STORY BEGINS
First the widow and the widower
e-mailed each other
then
the widow suggested they talk on the phone
then
they met at
TIM HORTON'S
for coffee
She arrived
He arrived
For one reason or another
they were not
'connecting'
He went indoors
and
as he was coming back out
she was going in
GOOD THING THEY CONNECTED
AS
THEY WERE BOTH READY TO LEAVE
THINKING
EACH HAD CHANGED THEIR MIND
(Reenactment)
He said her name
She said his name
all in question form?????????
A few days later
the widower came to lunch
The widow prepared egg salad on
pumpernickle rye bread
The rest is history.......
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 17, 2010
The widower asked us to arrive
at
Tim Horton's
( same Tim Horton's
as August 17, 2009)
to catch on camera
THE PROPOSAL
We were on the river by
7:20 a.m.
for the 2 hour drive
to our destination
Decisions Decisions
Where to park our car?
Which door would they be coming in?
Where should we sit?
You see
The widow did not know we would be there
I spotted this table and thought it would
be a good place
then changed my mind as I felt it was
out in the open
I moved two tables over to a four seat table
which was next to the wall
I proceeded to put on my big sunglasses
and big white sun hat
The video man sat across from me
sunglasses on
WE WERE READY
EXCITMENT WAS IN THE AIR
Here they come
Where does the widow sit?
You got it!!!!!!!
YIKES
Just where we were going to sit
(This is the same table
where they sat a year ago)
We couldn't believe it!!!!!
We settled ourselves down
as we had a job to do!!!!!
The video camera
was running as it sat
on the table
facing the widow
and widower
The camera ran for 17 minutes
She ate a cinnamon raisin bagel
He had an apple fritter
They drank their coffee
and
chatted up a storm
Come on widower
ask the question
will ya!!!
The camera lady has to use
the washroom!!!!
BINGO
HE POPPED THE QUESTION
DID SHE SAY YES?
BY THE LOOK ON THEIR FACES
I'D SAY
YES
We all moved to the centre table for
congratulations
After we dropped off our
overnight bags
and
had a few of her famous
BUTTER TARTS
we tricked the widow again
Lunch at our friend's home
with
friends waiting
in the wings to yell
SURPRISE
The camera lady is now
catching a few moments
of the engaged couple
The hostess had played a speical song
by
John Denver
A gentle kiss
Happy grins
THE KISS
Congratulations
Cutting the cake
Friends and more friends
They're singing a song!!!!
What is the she doing?
She's watching the video
(It's a new camera for us and we've not
figured out how to hide all that is in the way
and to set the right day and time!)
Saying good-bye to friends
The video man and the camera lady
say
THANK YOU
for letting us share in a
day that will be remembered
We all thank the
hostess and host
WELL DONE

Hi Anita: What wonderful news! Dorothy stopped by my booth at Art by the River and told me about your engagement. This is too cute, because I actually know Casey from my days at Herman S.S. as a secretary in the office. (Could be a 60 moment because it was either Riverside or Herman) I wish you too only the very best that God can give you both as you start this new chapter of your life.
ReplyDeleteLove Rose & Don Harper
