Our daughter Stephanie

had the surprise of

a lifetime

Stephanie and her daughter

'the girl'

have been

wishing

hoping

asking

for a puppy

however

the answer was always the same

NO

Unbeknownst to the girls

the boys

(the Dad and the boy)

brought home a puppy

THE SURPRISE

Mom was speechless

Mom could hardly breathe

The girl was dancing around the room

The girl's dream had come true

What the heck

What is this????

Where did you come from????

Moby

THE ONE AND ONLY DOG IN THEIR HOME

(until now)

was being extremely gentle with this little creature

Gee whiz

What can I say about this picture?

Nothing

We're all content here

The girl would be thinking

Is this really happening

The puppy would be thinking

Oh boy

I have the best home in the world

Another body to snuggle with

NOW

What about a name?

The girls were going for

LuLu, MiMi, Phoebie

The boys were adamant

They would only go for

STRONG

girl names

Many names were put forth

only to be rejected

A name came up

All four members of the family agreed

Her name would be

MADELINE

Christmas morning

What's this

Having a bath already?

Madeline went outside for a pee

Moby peed in the same spot

Madeline had not moved out of the way!

This was Madeline's first official photo shoot

I realized I had a 'soft' filter

on the lens of the camera

She was not thrilled

like I was!

Bing grabbed the hat

and took off! 

He carried it around

He flipped it in the air

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

THROUGH MY CANADIAN EYES

About eight years ago we were at a get-togther at our

friend's home in the countryside

I met Jacqueline's friend who had

recently had a baby girl

I took a few photos of the sweet baby

A year passed and I was asked to do a

photo shoot of the little family

This photo is one of  my all time

FAVOURITES

In the background you can see their dog

GUSSIE

Gussie is 'kissing' his master's ear

He did not blink or

move a muscle!!!!!

Over the years I took

two more sets of family pictures

Just before leaving for the west

I had an e-mail wondering

if I could take pictures once again

I thought about it for a minute

You see

I am in my retirement mode!

I could not resist this family!!!!!

The baby girl is growing up

And

the girl has a sister

The girls had a little tiny moth

Little hands are so intriguing

The serious stuff was over

Now it was time to have fun

Good job girls

I was thrilled to take the photos

of this special  family

A few days ago I received a

Christmas card

When I opened the envelope

there were two smiling

sweet faces looking at me

THANK YOU

This inspired me to take out

my portroid lens

I did a photo shoot yesterday

You will see it tomorrow!!!!!!!!

BIRDS AND BEASTS

We have a few bird

 feeders at the back of

our home and throughly enjoy

watching the birds as they

gather at the fence line

If I happen to look out back and notice

 there arn't any birds at the feeder

I know

the hawks are visiting!

We checked our

Birds of North America book

We think it is either a

Common black-hawk

or

Harris hawk

There were two birds

Joe thought a third one

should be around as well

Blue eyes and brown eyes

Can't help but lovin this girl

Up on the fridge

From there to the narrow ledge

above the kitchen cupboards

I wondered how he was going

to get down????

EASY

Bing just backed up

and back to the fridge he went!

Joe was putting in new batteries

for the smoke detector

No sooner was the ladder up

then Bing appreared

and up the ladder he went!

What can I say?????

You gotta love this guy too!!!!!!

Patience is a virture

He will grow up
