This morning we drove to downtown Phoenix
to attend Mass at
St. Mary's Basilica
Listening to the organ music
and three singers
was
absolutely
without a doubt
captivating
Afterwards we took in the
Poinsettia Festival
Foil in Christmas colours were waiting
to join the poinsettias
Bows were ready too
Santa greeting the customers
A good looking (make believe) Santa!!
We went out to the greenhouse to check it out
I thought this was a great idea
Each poinsettia has a name
This was Joe's choice
We have one sitting on our desk
Freedom red and white shared one pot
This was called shimmer surprise
The coils on the wall help to keep
the greenhouse cool
They had a professional photographer on hand
These two dogs 'strolled up' in the pink stroller!!!
Here she is doing what she does best
The gray and white dog has
one blue eye and one brown eye
They are four years old
How do I know?
Ha-Ha
Of course I talked to the owner!!!!!
If you liked you could catch a ride
on the wagon
which took people to the greenhouse
We had a lovely day together!
Who knew a poinsettia festival could be so interesting...not me! I think it was just your photos mom that did it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful !! I aslo thought it unique that they each carried a name. I love the one Joe chose. Imagine the pointsettia looking like roses ! I also saw blue ones.....I'd call that one Fridgid !!! lol... How come Gwennie wasn't pictured there ? Huh ? What ever you do don't let her loose in there.....
ReplyDeleteI loved it and also liked Joe's choice, I,m not a huge fan of pointsettia, but that was pretty amazing, as we get minus 27 wind chill factor, it is so cold and the wind is out of control.
