THANKSGIVING DAY AND ON INTO THE WEEKEND

My job was to cook the vegetables
The turnip is on

Boiled some cranberries

Even have some apples to put
in with the turnip

Rod's job was the turkey
Dressing to boot!!!!!

Here is my Grandmother Garen's
dining room suite
It was passed down to my Mom
It was passed down to me
It was passed down to our daughter

My Mom's 'good' dishes

The boy catching a few zzzzz's before dinner
Our friends from home joined us
for Thanksgiving which was quite special!

Moby and Gwendolyn were there too!!

We stood together, held hands,
said grace and were thankful
for family and friends

Friday at our house

Susie is sleeping on her sheep skin
by the front window

Gwendolyn is up on the chair
Bing has joined her
Oh no.....
I don't have 'their' blanket over the chair
Pet hair will be everywhere

With their blanket in place
they are ready for a nap
Nice teeth Gwennie

Thanks to our friend's keen eye
we picked up this entertainment centre
at
Mesa Market
We will use it as a storage unit

We picked it up in our van
worked quickly to get the
breezeway organized
as the friends were coming for
a glass of wine
and enjoy the sunset
on our new deck

We did it
We're ready

The sunset

Saturday/Sunday

Our granddaughter sent us an e-mail
"If you happen to be in the neighbourhood
could you swing by and pick me up?"

SURE

She came out for supper
Papa was down and out with a bad cold so we
went to the pool during the evening
Also took advantage of the hot tub
to warm up before riding our bikes home

This photo is a reflection of
'the girl'
playing with Bing
(Aimed the camera at the mirror)

You can always count on one
of the pets being near by

Gwennie making sure she gets some lovin too!!!!

Heading out of the park
Boy, have we had some chilly weather
You can see by the flag that the wind is up

Pulled up to the house
Who pops her head up from the swing????

Back home with her Mom
We sure enjoyed her little stay with us

Forgot to mention we took took
the girl
to her favourite breakfast place
before taking her home

A treat for her
Our treat was having her
with us

  2. Thank you for all the Gwennie photos !!! I miss our girl and her incredible personality !!! She's so adorable :o) The Thanksgiving spread looks delicious and I'm going to try apples in my turnips for the holidays. It's wonderful to see antiques passed from generations to generations. Families, friends, pets, traditions are priceless. Much to be grateful for .
