Breakfast at the Southside Diner

Interesting how the  mind works

When I typed the word 'werever' last night in my blog
I knew it did not look right
I typed in werever
I typed in were ever
then did spell check
Both words came up ok????

In the middle of the night it came to me
I forgot the 'h'
OMG

Last night we could hear a kerfuffle behind us
Might of guessed who or what it was
Bing heads for heights no matter where he is

When we first got up this morning
the sun was shining
then the clouds rolled in
A view from Jen's condo

I tried to do a photo shoot of Stella
however
she did not cooperate as
she kept squinting her eyes
 ha

Stella has 'Hemmingway cat feet'
She has an extra 'toe' on each of her front paws

Here's Nikki
the O'Rourke October Nanny
She is back at her job at the
Southside Diner in Whistler

Joe's breakfast looks pretty tasty
Take note of the coffee mug!

Here's Les.................Graham's friend
Les bought us breakfast this morning
He is one of the owners of the Diner
THANKS LES
By the way........Les you look pretty good
for having been on the
Cast and Blast
 the past few days

Check out the placemat

Lots of red!

We left the Diner and went in search of Ted and Marla's property which they recently purchased
We ended up at the end of a no exit  street
You should have seen the house behond these gates
Check out the 'spider' gate and playful statue of children
(Ted is Graham's childhood friend from when they were three year olds living in Corunna)

The land is being cleared
The construction of their new home will begin in the spring

Here we are in a tourist pose!!

You could fire a canon up the road at Whistler Village this morning

Wow
$10.00 a bunch for lavender
I could have  made some money this summer with
all the lavender plants I have at the cottage!!!

It looks like Christmas is just around the corner
Wreaths are going up

On our way back to Squamish we drove
 through Brackendale
to see if we could see some eagles
There was one bird

I WAS GIVEN A GIFT

The eagle flew out of the tree
soared  through the air
flew right in front of us before landing by the side of the river

As the camera lady I was so excited
I
clicked
 clicked
 clicked

I had the long lens on the camera
however
the setting was set at landscape
Should have had it on sport
and to make matters worse
the 'button' that holds the lens in place from manual to auto was off a bit
THUS
the photos were out of focus
There are a few photos that I could salvage

Joe being Joe told me to
build a bridge and get over it
so
I did!!!!!!!!!!

HA-HA

All of a sudden lots of birds were flying around

The eagle found a fish which occupied his time

Each year between November and January eagles migrate to feed on salmon
Last season they had 950 eagles in the area

Late  this afternoon we headed back to Jen's condo
Joe read his book
I treated myself to a pedicure
and
Jen went to the gym

We'll be up before the birds tomorrow morning as we start on our next adventure
Hoping to be in Oregon tomorrow night

We've had a busy two days here in Squamish
We've had three dogs and three cats here in the condo plus three adults
The animals have done well
Each has found their little space

We'll be back here again in the spring

  1. Dianne the way you describe the pets in the condo, each finding their space is exactly what happens here !! The more the merrier and I'm never at a loss for entertainment !! Stella is a gorgeous cat, she looks a lot like Bing....please have a safe, uneventful drive as you make your way to Arizona. Love to Gwennie. xoxoxo

  2. Hi:
    Loved the Eagle shots.
Hope you got to Orgeon as planned.
Charles doing very well - all that exercise paid off.
We were both exhausted - I slept like a baby last night.
