BACK ROAD TO OSOYOOS
A few days before we left Penctition we took a drive to Osoyoos
I wanted to go to the arena where Beau played hockey to see if I could purchase a Coyotes sweatshirt
It was a beautiful sunny morning so we decided to head out
We came across many bikers
They are everywhere
Thought his was strange??
A corvette sitting in a field
The water was as smooth as glass
I don't think these guys are going anywhere!
This guy was on the road
When we got to Oliver we decided to go off the beat and track
They say Oliver is the wine capital of Canada
We could not get over how many vineyards were in this area
Everywhere we looked the fields had rows upon rows of vines
We first came upon this old barn then I saw this......
Who would have walked through this door???
There was another little house on the property
We were on our way again
Could hear cows 'mooing'
Came around a corner
and
there they were
coming up the road to meet us!
Check out these cute faces
These are the slow pokes
Coming up the path
I think this gal is going to be a Momma
They were waiting to see if the 'girl' got by the blue truck
before they came down to the main road
This little one got separated from the group and ended up in a fenced in area
It was calling for Mom!!!!!!!!
Moooooo Mooooooo
Here comes Mom
Moooooooo Mooooooooo Moooooooo
She left the group to come back for her baby
We arrived at the Sun Bowl Arena
Beau's winter home away from home!!!!!
The shop was not open so I was unable to get a sweatshirt
SHOOT
Took this photo for Beau
The hockey 'rookies' went swimming around this area
Jumped off a dock in the freezing water!!!!
Scream scream scream
Remember Beau??????
Coming back into Penticton
Our time here was coming to an end
See you Penticton in the fall!
Good memory shots mom!I wonder what will happen this year? SB
ReplyDeleteAnother awesome "arm chair" trip for me around beautiful BC in the comfort of my home :) Great photos ! I really liked the ones of the old discarded vehicles....the VW, old truck, what fun it would be to restore them. I'm grateful you put in that the mama cow went back to assist the fenced in calf....yup I'm a big suck that way. lol Hugs to our Gwennie xxoxoxo

ReplyDeleteI love taking the back roads now and then. You never know what you might see along or ON the road.
How was everything at the cottage? Did it winter well?
What terrific shots. Loved all those old barns and homes.....you do wonder who walked through those doors. Love your work.
