FROM PORT DALHOUSIE TO PENTICTON

As you know we have spent the past month in Port Dalhousie at the home of our niece Stephanie and husband Michael
After spending 30 days in Ontario we are 'cleared' to get on the road once again
Penticton here we come!!

View of Lake Ontario from the living room
I think I can count the numbers of times on one hand as to how many times we have seen the sun

Looking across the lake to the skyline of Toronto

Meet Stephanie's cat
By the end of our stay she and Bing were friends!

We made a few trips to Sarnia
While there we checked out our storage unit
OH NO
Mouse droppings!!!!

This container was at the very back of the storage unit
I am sure 'it' was not happy being out in the cold

Sorry guys......
We have no choice

We returned a week later........
Happy to say no more mice
Not even in the traps

This photo is out of focus
You can see the dog though
Straddling the sofa
Soaking up the sun
Came across this as we were heading to a gas station in
 off the main highway

Took this shot for our South Dakota friends
Coleen and Curt

Came across many antelope
A few were closer to the road
They did not like us being so close

Here are hundreds and hundreds of birds
We think they might be swans mixed in with Canada geese

Way in the distance is Devils Tower
Wyoming

We are alone on the highway

Not sure why this ol' car was sitting on a trailer at an intersection????

We are into some heavy snow
The horses are all facing the same way

Great place to get a hair cut!

I'm sure I have taken this photo before
Find it strange one beside the other

One morning Gwennie joined us in the front seat

Grand Coulee Dam
Washington State

The Sun Bowl
Home of the Osoyoos Coyotes Hockey Team
We drove by just after arriving in Canada
Were back at the rink that evening for Beau's hockey game
Unfortunately Beau did not play that evening and the last game of the season due to a concussion

March 22nd
We arrived in Penticton Friday in time to sing
 Happy Birthday

The view Saturday morning

Off to Kelowna for Ethan's hockey game Saturday

Spring League
Kelowna All Stars
Number 81

The Osoyoos Coyotes had their final game Sunday evening in Armstrong
Boys went full seven games

They had won their division then went on to the semi-final playoffs

The lads had long hair and 'yellow' hair for the playoffs
This is the new hair cut
Pretty spiffy!!!!!!!!!

Where have all the years gone?????

WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP

March 25, 2013

Cases of Tightrope are ready to go

Bottling at Ruby Blues Winery this morning

Putting the labels on the Ruby Blues cases

Lyndsay cleaning out the wine tanks

Garen came home from Daycare this morning
Not feeling well

  5. Thanks for thinking of us as you drove thru the state. Let us know when you come back through and maybe we can meet up or you can come see us. It is said when hockey season comes to an end, at any age. How exciting for L & G to have the wine in boxes and shipped. Woot Woot!

  6. Devil's Tower, Grand Coolee Dam, the wide open expanse of western fields....amazing photos. I almost felt like I was right there. I can certainly identify with your comment about where have the years gone ! I must say Beau matured nicely. Gwennie as navigator, priceless. I'm glad you were given the all clear and were able to travel. I wish you all a blessed Easter season.

  8. Great to have another O'Rourke post to read. I love traveling with you, Joe, and your four-legged friends. Thanks for the memories ... seeing so many places we've been. Loved seeing the action at Ruby Blues and a finished Tightrope product. Eager to taste the labor of their love! We opened a bottle of Ruby Blues last night that we purchased while there last summer. It was as delicious as we remembered. What a handsome family ... enjoy your time there and look forward to more of your postings. Great to see Joe behind the wheel and ready to go again! Take care my friend ... love your photos and commentaries.
