Seventeen days ago we left British Columbia for the sunny skies of Arizona
Bing and Susie's last sleep in the shack
This was my last look out the window
We spent the last few nights up at the big house
7:40 AM
November 28th
We're on our way
Goodbye big house
Goodbye shack
Goodbye ol' farm house
Goodbye O'Rourke family
It's always tough saying goodbye
Hoar frost in Washington State
Normally we cross over this bridge however the GPS took us along the Columbia river
We made it as far as Baker Oregon the first night
Even though I had my camera right beside me I did not see a lot of photo ops but sometimes I missed a good one
As you know there is no second chance!
When we arrived in Twin Falls Idaho we had the option of going down into Nevada or over to Utah
We decided for Utah this time
Here we are going past Salt Lake City
Specs of snow on the mountain
Stayed in Fillmore Utah the second night
Our GPS was acting up and finally gave in
We tried to get a 'paper' map at gas stations
but
No one seemed to have one
Joe checked his streets and maps on the computer
and
It took us through Bryce Canyon........
A short cut to Highway 87
Coming into Bryce
It looked like snow but was a cloud!!!!!!
We could not seem to find a particular road that we were looking for
Back and forth we went
The horse is probably saying
I've seen this blue truck again and again and again!!!!!
The scenery was beautiful
We went back to the first road we were on
Travelled until we came to an undeveloped road
It was the right road
But no way were we going on it
Back we went to the main highway
This was the scene the next night!!!!!!!!!!
View from our back deck
Cats in same bed but different house
Sun on Superstition Mountain
It has been rather chilly here for the past week
However
It is warming up
Feels good
Madeline Browning out for a visit
We packed up our B/W photographs from the shack
There's our little Charlie Brown Christmas tree in the corner
Christmas stockings that Beau and Zoe made for us a long time ago!!
We have a dinner date with Stephanie Rod and Zoe each Thursday evening
Looking over towards Silly Mountain
The mornings are very chilly
After water aerobics class we all run to the hot tub
Turned on the jets
WHOA
We were having a bubble bath
Such fun!!
Last Sunday we took Stephanie and Zoe out to get a Christmas tree
Rod was in Minnesota with his hockey team but was conversing with them over the phone as to what kind of tree they should pick
The trees have names
This one is Laurie
She's a beauty
Far cry from my Charlie Brown tree
Can you see the coyote?
Odd to see it during the day
This VW caught my eye yesterday afternoon while we were out and about
I am missing Stella
She is in Gail's garage for the time being
The pictures are up!
Four o'clock Saturday
We had a hiking BBQ in our backyard
Since we were late coming down this year our hiking friend Bonnie volunteered to organize the annual event
That's all for now folks
I am going to start taking my camera with me when I leave the house
I am sure to find something interesting
Nice to have you and Joe in AZ! Looking forward to what you and your camera see...
