When the camera lady spends so much time in the hockey rink
there isn't much to choose from to create a blog
SO
I took some photos on the way to and from the Summerland rink on Sunday
AND
will throw in a few photos from Saturday
Drying out the equipment
because it was wet
Airing out the equipment
because it had.............
that lovely hockey aroma!!
Graham and Lyndsay off on a date night
Dinner at the home of Ruby Blues family
Joe and I had a date night too!!!!
We went to A and W for a burger
before heading down to Osoyoos
Big big difference between the meals
Big big difference between good wine and the frosty glass of root beer!!!!
Evening is definitley settling in
The Coyotes bench
The red helmet
Sunday morning we were up bright and early to attend the young boy's 8:15 hockey game
We went to the area where the tournament had been taking place over the weekend
Sat down..........asked the fellow next to us the name of his team
Summerland he said
We moved to the other side of the rink
Asked the lady beside us the name of her team
as
we could not see a
red helmet
out on the ice
WE WERE IN THE WRONG ARENA
Downtown we went
Into the second arena
There were the blue jerseys of the Penticton Vees
but no
red helmet
Over to the next area
YEAH
We spotted the
red helmet
however
by this time we had
missed most of the first period
Good game
Tied after third period
The boys played a five minute overtime
Score still 4 - 4
End of game
Way to go boys!!!
On our way up to Summerland we drove along
the Okanogan Lake
Across the lake is the O'Rourke house
We thought maybe the fellow in the water had been skiiing???
He does have a wet suit on!!!!!!
Just about time for Halloween
Lots of pumpkins waiting to go home
with lots of families
The little boys went to the pumpkin patch on Sunday
Next it will be a fun evening of carving
Lyndsay and Nikki picked up some gourds
Beautiful fall decor for the dining room table
One thing about living in the Oakanagan is that
sailors have lots of sailing time in the fall
What an odd place to advertize
CAR FOR SALE
at the top of this hill
This is right at the turn to go to
the Summerland arena
Here is Johnny the goalie
His gloves, pads and stick are decked out in bright
PINK
His Mom is a breast cancer survivor
He has written on his goalie stick
I LOVE YOU MOM
Coming back into Penticton
The reflection was beautiful on the lake
A couple out for a Sunday drive in their red truck
Our friend Ken would like this truck!
What the heck is this????
A special request of the boy to his Papa
Could you make a Stromboli
We have food!!!!!!
It was soooooooo good
The boy had two helpings
It was full of meats and cheeses and peppers
GOOD JOB PAPA
We were enjoying the view before dinner
This afternoon we were treated with a rainbow
It looks like the rainbow came right down
to the house
Wow
They'll get the pot of gold
On to tomorrow

What beautiful scenery...not the stinky hockey equipment, but the nature shots, lol.
ReplyDeleteVery nice Dianne!
ReplyDeleteThe stromboli looks delicious = cooked !! Almost brings to mind the panzeroti (not sure of the spelling) You two are good sports in persisting on finding the correct arena !! That's hilarious !! I would of went for the A&W night out.....with a glass of wine later. lol :o)
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely, lovely. What a beautiful life you have!
