ARIZONA NEVADA IDAHO OREGON WASHINGTON

Here we go!!!

Tuesday morning
The sun is rising

The desert is starting to turn green
It's now 7 a.m.

Over the course of the day
we closed the house
had lunch with our friend Ken
packed the van and trailer
and
headed to the 'boy'
and 'girl's' home for the night

Bing and Susie were staying in the guest room
Madeline came for many visits
She and Bing played and played
If Madeline could talk
she would have said
let me in let me in!!!!!

We did our hugs at bedtime
The next morning the alarm went off at 5:30
We slipped out of the house at 6
and
were on our way
The sun was there to say

'GOOD MORNING'

It was a 'good' morning
but it's always hard
to say good-bye
to your children
grand children
and
even the grand dogs!!!!

What a magnificent sight
There were 11 hot air balloons in flight

We drove through a section
where there were many Joshua trees

What a crazy sign
Must have been
something once!

Lake Mead
by the Hoover Dam

One never knows when their picture is being taken
If you look closely you can see a lady
looking out a window

Las Vegas
A quick view from the road

High in the mountains of Nevada
The temperature was 33 degrees

We've stopped at Ely for the night
If Gwendolyn could talk
She would have said
'IT'S ABOUT TIME'

We walked to the Hotel Nevada
for dinner
What a history this hotel has....
It was built in 1929
 the tallest building
in the state
the first fire proof building
Rooms rented for $1.50 & up
All rooms had a private toilet
 85% had a private bath
The wooden walls display
brand and names of local
and area ranchers
Lyndon B Johnston
Jimmy Stewart
and
Evil Knievel were among
some of the celebrities
who stayed at the hotel

The hotel at 6:30 this morning

The perfect size for a trailer
Even comes with a wash tub!!!!!

The sun is trying to come out

Such a beautiful sight
Not many cars on the road

Not a good sight
Someone's trailer

This 'guy' was in the middle of nowhere

We stopped at a rest stop to
check the GPS......

Coming into Idaho

I'm thinking there is water in the bucket
There were several buckets around the field
which were much bigger

The horses need water for
a good ol' bath

There was another set of 'horns'
in the back of the truck
Must be used for roping

We're entering Oregon

How long have the chimney bricks
been sitting on the roof????
I wonder how old the house is????
What's the story????

A good way to advertize
Oregon Spring Water

Spring is around the corner

We're coming to a 6 degree
down grade
The big rigs had to have
their brakes tested

The big sky is ever changing

This is NOT a tractor
This is new to me

Wouldn't it be funny
if this tanker was filled with coffee!!!!
Great advertising

The McNary Dam in the distance

We're in Pasco Washington
for the night
The local airport can be seen
and heard
from our room

Another good day on the road

TO THE YOUNG BOY
AND
THE LITTLE BOY

We'll see you tomorrow
YEAH
YEAH
YEAH

O HAPPY DAY!!!!!!!

  3. Dianne, good to know you are traveling safe. You are really "racking up the miles" everyday. How far do you travel in a day? Continue to be safe, healthy, and happy.

  4. Hi Dianne, I can only imagine how hard it is to say good-bye to the kids... all of them. Then you get to see new kids though all the B.C. ones. Must be nice to come back to Canada though something about coming home. The pics were all beautiful. Enjoy Graham and the boys! All my love, Kelly
