Yesterday afternoon I put on my 'walking shoes'
Grabbed my camera
Grabbed my sunglasses
and
Away I went
It was a beautiful suuny warm day!
I left Gwendolyn behind as I would be climbing some hills and knew she would get out of breath
We are anxious for her to be tested re her Valley Fever
That will be done as soon as we arrive in Arizona
I would have loved to have taken this apple off the tree!
Passed the Black Widow Winery
Working my way up the hill
Heading along the path
The house is way down there
Logging trucks kept going down the road
What a view
Some chickens and 'bees' at an orchard
Someday.........
Hillside Estate
Beauty everywhere
Coming up to 3 Mile Winery
It looks like they have a Gallery as well
3 Mile Road
Came across a few sunflowers
Up the drive
Up the hill to the house
Off came the shoes
Got myself an Iced Tea
Got my tunes
Got my book
Got my Gwennie with me
LIFE IS GOOD
Got my boys
LIFE IS GOOD
Off to the rink with Lyndsay and Garen
Garen was all smiles
He went right out on the ice
YEAH
He's up
Way to go Garen
Tiny steps will get you there......
Joe started his canning
Low sugar Elderberry jelly
Can you guess what jam this will be?????
Soaking up the sun and taking an afternoon nap
Sounds good to me!!!!
This morning I took Garen to the dentist
He came back home to spend the day with his Granny
as he has a cold and not up to going to school
Smile!
Don't smile!
Funny with little children
As soon as they get in the house
Off come the socks
Off comes the T-shirt
Don't know if it is just a boy thing
or
An O'Rourke thing
but
It happens in this house all the time
LIFE IS GOOD
Sounds like a wonderful day mom!Garen is really turning into a big boy, he looks like he is full of beans :-)

Marmalade jam ? My mom used to make it and the house smelled so good !The vista of scenery and colours are amazing Dianne.....of course my favourites are of our Gwennie. She's so very precious. Hugs to Gwennie and thank you for sharing your hike with us :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely life you are enjoying and I'm so happy for you Di. You are so peaceful and appreciative of nature, family and friends, as well as life in general. God is so good to us and we can all take your example and be grateful.I must confess that I envy Joe's culinary skills. He has so many talents.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice blog. Loved that apple. That must have been "the apple" re Adam & Eve because I sure wanted to pick it. Garen is a sweet looking little boy. Joe looks pretty content. Thinking of him.
ReplyDeleteAll well here. Spectacular weather here. The leaves are magnificent. J & J sold their house.

Dianne, after reading your last couple of blogs, it leaves me with wishing we were back there again enjoying the beauty of the area. It's almost unbelievable that we were in some of the same places less than three months ago. Love following along with you on your walks with your camera. I know you are enjoying your time there, but hurry on down to see more family and friends. As always, great photos and story telling.
ReplyDeleteDianne, sunglasses, camera and you. |What a great way to spend the day. That family of yours is growing up fast. Glad to see Joe taking advantage of the opportunity to make jam. Life with blogs is so rich. Thanks again. Jeanette & Jim
