WEEK ONE OF BEING IN PENTICTON

This past week whizzed by
Busy doing this and that
Busy going here and there............

Cats just came right in
and made themselves at home
Susie tends to stay in the suite............she is 20 now and feels safe there
Bing explores the house and runs into Sweet Pea now and then
They tolerate one another

Here's Linda who is also Hunter's dog walker
out for the first pick of the season
Pinot Gris

Swimming lesson for Garen then ..............

Off to hockey

Is there a smile tucked in there somewhere????

Papa and Ethan giving Garen a pep talk

This was the deal
Dad and Garen would sit on the bench
Garen would put his feet on the ice
Garen would get a chocolate bar
but not the whole bar!!!!!!

Look out Gretsky.....Garen's first step!!!!

Oh boy
Someone sure grew over the past several months
Check out those long legs!!!!!!!!!!

Back to the pool a few days later
A happy happy little fellow

Graham showing us his outift
About a month ago he went to Whistler to play rugby
There was a theme
'People from Wal Mart'
The players had to dress according to the theme
We shop at Wal Mart?????????

Saturday morning Joe Jennifer and I went to the market

Huge knitting needles
I would like to have one of these throws
However
The cats would snag the wool for sure

Very interesting 'items' carved from wood

This young man's sign read
Help me go home

Jen and her dogs

This is Helen
She was telling me how people from all over buy her canning
It must be very good!

Heading back to O'Rourke house
One lady at the market had a chat with Joe
She told him her Bull dog weighs 65 lbs.
Yikes Gwennie is catching up

We went to the dump on our way home
Beautiful view of the lake as we came down the hill

Hockey Saturday in Canada
This is the first Ethan has played in some weeks
He had the cast removed on Friday
The cast was replaced with a splint
Skateboard incident

Ethan has switched from forward to D

Since Joe is 'laying low' until after his surgery he has decided to work in the kitchen and make Elderberry jelly
He is collecting the berries

We were out and about in the vineyard
Here comes Graham
Watch out Gwennie!

I'm not sure if Alice is enjoying her ride???
Typical 'boy'
No shoes!!!!!!!!
Glad I am not washing those socks
Wait a minute
I am washing his socks!!!!!!
We're here to hold down the 'fort'
while Lyndsay and Graham deal with the busiest month of the year

Monday morning
Picking day

Jennifer and I worked as a team!
It was fun to have her across from me
We chatted away

Joe was the camera man
Nice shot Joe!!

Jen's new little rescue dog decided to roll in the dirt
The dirt was ever so fine
Lots of dust too

Graham has been getting up in the middle of the night to turn on
the air circulator
Temps have been dipping during the night

Joe went across the road to the apple orchard where there was a 'machine' that was making apple juice from the apples

Juice ready to go

Dealing with the pulp of the apple......
The ground up apple
Yuck

Quite the set up

Picked 4 and 1/2 bins of Pinot Noir

Graham's friend Dave gave us a hand as well
There's that Gwennie
Never far away

This is the newest member of Jen's family
A Chihuaha/Pug
One year old
Ten pounds
Fiesty little thing she is!!!!!!!

After Angus died this summer Jennifer was not looking to having another dog then this little girl just fell in her lap!
She could not say no
She is her Mother's daughter
Ha Ha
Her name has been changed many times but as of today it is
Josephine

The grapes have been delivered to Ruby Blues

Jen checking things out before she heads back to Squamish

There she is!!!!!!
Lyndsay the wine maker

In go the grapes

This morning we heard a big bang
This guy hit the window
The woodpecker sat for quite awhile
I missed seeing it fly away

There is a family of white tail deer that hang out
at an apple orchard
I took my long lens with me today
He watched me as I walked his way but did not get up

A very good week!!!!!!!
