We will be driving to
Sky Harbour Airport Saturday afternoon
Sky Harbour Airport Saturday afternoon
We're in for a real treat as our
niece is arriving for a week
As my Dad would say........
SUSAN IS A PEACH OF A GIRL
Susan is game for anything
so we will be busy
showing her the highlights
of Arizona
Saturday morning
The sun would peek out from the clouds
every so often
We are hoping the rain will stay away
It's cool outside this morning
but
toasty warm inside
The cats are snuggling in
their blanket
Do you see another cat in the picture?
This is Gabby
She is a Burmese cat
We have been taking care of her for a few weeks
She lives next door to us
Her Momma died and Dad is back
in Wisconsin for a time
Thought I would show you our new floor
Joe installed it just before
the girls arrived
It is beautiful and he did such a great job!
Oh Oh
It looks like rain
You can hardly see
Superstiton Mountain
A coyote came to visit early in the day
We spent a few hours at the airport
Susan's plane was an hour late
however
we took our books
had coffee
and had a quiet time
while waiting for her arrival
Spaghetti and salad for dinner
A great visit then off to bed
SUNDAY MORNING
Here we have a marathon happening
along Highway 60
Here we are back at
The Farm
We decided to have breakfast first before church
since last Sunday we missed out as
the cut off for breakast was 1 p.m.
My breakfast
French toast with pecans
I took the butter off though!!!!!
Oh my gosh, it was sooooo good
We ate outdoors
We were lucky as it started
to rain shortly after we left
We're heading to downtown Phoenix
You can see Chase Field in the background
Home of the Diamond Backs
We are in church
Seven babies are being baptized
For six of the babies
Father poured water from a pitcher
A shell was used to pour the water
for the seventh baby
The shell must have a special meaning
to the parents of this sweet baby girl
It was good planning to have
breakfast first
as chuch did not
'get out'
until 1:15 p.m.
We were there before 11 a.m.
It was a happy time though
being witness to the baptisms
Check out the rainbow
Stephanie and Zoe were driving out to our home
when the rainbow appeared
Stephanie said many many cars pulled
over to the side of the road to take in the beauty
of this magnificent rainbow
Madeline came for Sunday dinner too!!!
The boy and his Dad
were in Dallas Texas
hockey again
Just about night fall
Once again
LIFE IS GOOD
Gabby looks grumpy...she is a beautiful cat though. The french toast looked delish with the pecans, yummm. SB
ReplyDeleteDianne, looking through your "Canadian Eyes" makes me feel like I'm still in Arizona. Miss those lazy days and our winter friends. Glad I can join you this way as you travel about Arizona doing fun things. You continue posting wonderful photos and stories. Loved the rainbow photo! Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Marge through your blogs I travel all over Arizona as well. I've also learned about the nature and flora of the desert. I get to see my precious Gwennie even if I'm unable to hug her. I love salivating over the desserts and your home is stunning and welcoming. It is so kind of you to take in Gabby, such a stressful time for cat and owner.
ReplyDeleteAs a friend of mine would say...You're good people.... :O) Hugs to all
OHhhh, love the new flooring! Did you get new furniture, too? Have fun with your niece.
ReplyDeleteJoe did a wonderful job on the floor. can't wait to see it. Have a great visit with your
ReplyDeleteniece.
Janet
Life in front of your camera is so appealing Dianne. Joe did a fine job on that floor.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking up "Scarlett Tananger" in Google
hoping for a hit for that "Buitiful" bird.
