CALLING ALL DOGS

This being my first

Pug Day

I assumed I would only be surrounded by Pugs

Wrong

Kitslano Beach is the only dog park in Vancouver

where dogs can run free

There were all sorts of four legged creatures running around

Some played in the water

Some preferred to stay by their master

Some liked to chase

Some liked to check out butts

(that was popular!)

It didn't matter where I looked

I was entertained by one or many dogs

What a way to spend a few hours

What a view

I was excited to go down to the beach

and check out the dogs

They were checking out each other

A pug is one hand

A coffee in the other

What more could you ask for????

I believe there were four pugs in this family

Each was a rescue

They all had their own personalized sweater

If you have ever been around Pugs

you know they can make a

FUNNY FUNNY 'NOISE'

It really isn't even a bark

it's a

Wooooo Wooooo Wooooo

and

Their mouth takes on the shape of this little guy

These litte gals are sisters

Dad was fawn coloured

Mom was black

All babies were black

Odd I thought

You would think there would be a

few fawn puppies in the litter

When I walked past this fellow I heard him say

GIVE ME A HIGH FIVE

Here we have a five month old

Victorian Bull dog

25% must be English Bull

other percentages can be......

American Bull

Bull Mastif

and other Bull breeds

This is a full grown Victorian Bull

You can definitely see the

English bull in him

This little Yorki came along and it was like

Love at first sight

They played and played and played

Couldn't get enough of each other!

Look at the Yorki's ears

Flying high

This couple is off for a walk on the beach

Sweet baby girl in tow

This little girl sat on the log

forever

So much action going on around her

but she seemed oblivious to it all

Check out this outfit!!!!!!!!!

Here come the water dogs

Walking gingerly

The dogs were entertained with sticks and balls

This guy left the ball behind

Oh boy

She sure wanted the ball

The ball was too big for her mouth

She would grab it only to have it pop

out of her mouth

She would cry as she waited for the ball

to come in close enough for her to

give it another try

These guys were having a good time

with each other

Lots of running on the beach

This dog was 'baying' as she ran

Love the sound

What a colourful coat

Are you looking at me?

The more she looked the more he

turned his head!

(Funny I think)

This guy's eyes are the same colour as his nose

OK OK

I surrender

I wish I could have stayed around

to watch this dog

She was coming down to the beach

as were leaving

We're now in the park area

Such beauty all around us

Time to go for breakfast
