A HOP SKIP AND A JUMP

West Jet
one of our Canadian airlines
had a seat sale
SOOOOOOOOO
I jumped at the chance
and
caught a flight
to
Vancouver

Daughter Jennifer met me at the airport
First stop
HARVEY'S
Lucky for us it was right at the airport

This was Jen's favourite
I had a veggie burger
It was actually really tasty
Even stole a few fries!

Next stop
Tim Horton's
OK
I'm ready to hit the road
since I had my
Canadian fix!!!!!

As we were walking through the airport
we were 'graced' with Native art

This is the view from her bedroom window
(Whistler)

I love walking into her home
So many interesting things to look at
I can see my Mom's tea cups
on the shelf
and
also her dessert dishes

Here we have Alice and Angus' coats
winter coats
rain coats
and
 towels to wipe their feet

On top of her wardrobe
she has three boxes
One says
Stuff
More Stuff
Can't remember the third
something about stuff......
HA-HA

A painting of her Pug Alice
nicknamed
Chickadee

Ah
My dresser from when I was a child

Down to Green Lake we go

Angus coming along the little path
He is fifteen
The ol' back legs just don't work
like they used to

Another section of Green Lake

We're on our way back to Vancouver
Driving the Sea to Sky highway
This is Squamish
Do you see the White Witch?

There she is.......on the rock

Gas pit stop
Did you notice the laced boots?

Cool eh
Jen saw boots like this as she was walking
in Whistler Village
She first noticed the boots as a lady walked toward her
looked up
and
there was
Sarah McLaughlin

Here is one of the BC ferries heading to one
of the islands

As we were driving through
Stanley Park I noticed steam
The sun was warming the earth

Lots of people out jogging
Here we have some stretching going on

You couldn't help but smile when you looked
at the sculptures
They were laughing!!

What a crazy hat!!!!

Kitslano Beach
Pug Day

Tankers waiting their turn

A couple of kayakers going by.....

Pug Day takes place the last Sunday of the month
at
Kitslano Beach
the only
'off leash' park
in Vancouver

The water dogs had a blast

I bet they are ol' friends

Ask me if we were having fun???

WE WERE HAVING FUN!!!!

Do you see the fellow doing a wheelie on his bike?

The pugs getting the sand off their feet

Wonderful spring flowers sitting out
at a local corner store

We stood in line at Sophie's Cafe
waiting to have breakfast
The fellow in front of me had on this jacket
Yes, I was in Canada

The walls of the cafe were filled with
many things of days gone by
I noticed a few 'tin' lunch boxes
which brought back memories

We are now traveling on the Burrard St. Bridge
Heading to Yale Town

I got out of the car and saw big drops of water coming from overhead

Doing a good job there buddy

On to the Dog and Hydrant store
The sweater shelf

Choose a collar!!!!!!!

In room dining
A great big salad
and
chicken wings!
(Yikes but I was on holiday)

This is the view from our hotel room
We stayed the night at the Fairmont
Looks like it is going to be a beautiful day

I arrived in Vancouver at 4:30 Friday
Departed at 9:53 on Monday

What a weekend
It was filled with chatting and laughter

My blog tomorrow will be all about the dog park!!!!

Stay tuned
