MAY 24TH LONG WEEKEND

Celebrating And Honouring
 Queen Victoria's Birthday

Up goes the
CANADIAN FLAG

They say every cloud has a silver lining
How bout this cloud with a pink lining!!!!!
(This was actually the sky on Thursday evening
but I just had to put it in)

As we were driving out towards Lake Huron
this cloud 'formation' caught my eye

Looking down the beach

Great way to spend an evening

Sitting on the beach with friends
and a fire to keep us warm
......the best way to end the day

Over to the mainland I went to purchase
flowers for the
 window boxes
and
clay pots
The 'captain' of the boat picked me up
and we filled the boat with beautiful flowers
and bags of dirt

Came into the cottage and found 'Master Bing'
enjoying his afternoon nap

May 24th weekend is flower planting time
I guess I would say
this is a tradition

This is exciting
I am in my glory

It was quiet on the river then all of a sudden
we heard this
 LOUD NOISE
What the heck was coming our way????

Ah.............the hammock
This is the life

Sunday morning nap time on Margaret's bed
Note Bing's leg!!!!

Sunday morning fog on the river
One freighter went by
I could hear the engines
I saw the water go out and come back in
I could not see the freighter
It was an eerie feeling
Finally the fog started to lift
I could barely see the pilot house of this freighter

What is she looking at?

We all didn't have a clue what this tug had on it's barge

Did I get the look or what
Check out those
 BLUE EYES

This is Lola

The carpenter is making a scratching post

Oh no, not you again
Can't you see I am trying to catch a few winks

Clemintine
Quite the pose!!!!!!

An after dinner romp on the beach

Catch me, catch me

Clemintine took a nose dive........
Head first right into the river

Look at that river
Boy, oh boy
We've had the best time today

Quote

Dogs dogs dogs...... WOW

Evening is drawing near
What a great day

THIS, THAT AND THE OTHER THING OVER THE PAST FEW DAYS

I have posted a few photos of 'thousand footers' on my blog
This freighter was going particularily slow
It must be heading to the
Shell dock for fuel

It is amazing how the freighter can pull
the water out from shore
We would take advantage of the suction
and go out and check for pieces of glass
in the sand
Now-a-days one can find few pieces
as most bottles have been exchanged
for cans

Wednesday was a beautiful, sunny, warm day
First time out to work in the gardens

This is an interesting ship
don't believe we have seen it on the water before

Bing is at the screen door
Sorry, you canot come out!

Gwendolyn and Bing chose their place to sleep
The camera lady thought it would be a good idea to 'set'
Bing closer to Gwendolyn

........like near her tummy
(great photo I thought)

Wrong..........

Grrrrrrrrrrrr

So........I gently put Bing back down where she had been
and
they both went back to sleep
as if nothing had changed

I happened to look out at the river and saw this
magnificent sail boat going down river

Gee, it's a good thing my camera is always ready to go!!!!!

Breakfast this morning
Bing is getting a little close
He even managed to get a quick taste

On our way to the mainland this morning
we spotted 5 white swans

Here is Bing curled up on the van floor
........same spot where Elliot would sleep

We took Bing with us this morning as we
thought we should start taking him in
the boat
and
the van
"Getting him ready for the big fall trip"

Bing was very vocal in the beginning
but as you can see
he settled down

Back home safe and sound with his favourite blanket

Photos of photos

I just framed two
photos of Elliot
one of which will hang on a wall with
WeiQuay

WeiQuay
This photo hung in our bathroom at 239 N College Ave.

Elliot

Blue eyes

I will leave the caption up to you
I did not set this up!!!!!!!

The carpenter is hard at work once again
He is building our king size bed in
with 3 drawers underneath the bed

Even though St. Francis has been glued back together
many times He is doing a good job of watching
over the birds

It's nice to see my garden 'opening up'

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF BING

This morning

Susie and Bing sitting in my Mom's chair

Oh, I'm soooo sleepy
I have to put my head down!

Susie is out of here
I can only do this for so long!

ON TO THIS AFTERNOON

Sweet little fellow

I looked at the photo and thought
Now
Isn't this a lovely picture
Susie, Bing and my Mother's Day flowers
