CABIN ON A ROCK

Joe and I visited with friends Sue and Jim at Jim's cabin 40 km north of Perry Sound
It was a great experience!!!
We parked our vehicles
We got into Jim's boat
We had a 20 minute ride to the
cabin on the rock

Not this rock!

OH CANADA
WE STAND ON GUARD FOR THEE

We agreed to meet at McDonald's in Perry Sound

We seemed to drive forever before getting to the river

We are on our way
Under the bridge we go!!!!!

Here we are!!!!!!

Ah........the smell of early morning coffee
I remember my parents having a coffee pot like this at their cottage
way back when

All of a sudden Gwennie started to bark
which had Sue and I running to see what was happening
She was the first to see the bear swimming across to another little island

Joe repairing the patio screen door
Some time ago a bear came through..........

Jim busy cleaning out his boat
He is going to take Joe and I on a tour of the area

SWEET

Spotted the bear once again
We could hear her calling????

For her baby!

When talking to Jim's brother Ralph he said the bear follows a pattern of showing up around every 5 days
Guess she 'tours' the different islands
So..........
We will be long gone before she returns

Sue opted to read her book while we did some boating

Sights along the way

Hmmmmm
I did not jump off the board
However
I did go in the water

Snack time
Sue's yummy date squares

The ol' kettle
It is used to boil water to wash the dishes

Mr. Jim

Playing a game of
Throwing 'washers' into a pail

Here comes the moon!

Busy little guy
Pulling a reed
Is it making a home?????

The boys are heading out to catch dinner

In  the meantime Sue got instructions on the outdoor shower
She had a shower first
Di was next
She did mention the water was cold
COLD!!!!!!!!
It was
FREEZING
If I remember the story correctly
Jim had turned the 'switch' on
Sue had turned it off??????

Mr. Green
Check out those legs

Sue watering Jim's sister Lois' flowers

Clear water
Not quite the colour of the St. Clair River

Lucky us
Unlucky fish

This little duck was swimming all by itself
She spotted the Canadian geese
Immediately she swam as fast as her little legs would take her over to the geese
They completely ignored her
Whoa

Lois arrived
She picked water lilies along the river

The brothers are busy at cleaning the fish

A storm was coming in along Georgian Bay

Friends

Dinner is being served

What can I say????
Miss Cool
(For Georgette)

Day 2
Evening Sky

A game of
'On Your Head'
with
Sue. Jim. Lois. Ralph. Joe. Di

Bath time

Getting ready to say good-bye

Two boats were needed to get us back to the bridge

Ralph will tow the boat back to the cabin

Thanks Jim and Sue
We had the best time!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting story
Jim's grandson Jacob and our grandson Beau played hockey last season for the Toronto Patriots
Small small world having both boys on the same team!!!!!
