CHATEAU LAKE LOUISE AND LAKE LOUISE

COME WALK WITH ME

Friday morning two ladies
and three dogs went
for a walk
around part of the lake

 A great place to sit
and give thanks for how fortunate we are

It looks pretty quiet here
however there were many
people out at this time of the morning

The canoe house in the distance

Their 'master' went for
a run
Alice and Angus sat
facing the door waiting
for her return

I happened to look out our window
and saw these folks walking along the path
(If you click on the photo to
make it larger
you can get a better view
of their 'outfits')

I thought this couple was unique
in their clothing
Many layers to keep them warm

Beautiful music coming
from the lounge area

Reception area

VERY INTERESTING LIGHTING
Do you notice
the ladies?

Window washer!

A quiet time for this lovely woman

I came across this quaint area on the second floor

I'd like to sit here with friends

Here is the Whistler
gardener (our daughter)
talking to the
Lake Louise gardener
I think they were comparing
notes

A wedding was to take place the following day
We inquired as to ...........
the Bride-to-be????

Daughter of the owner of the
Calgary Flames
(hockey team)

While on my tour I spotted
this candy apple
MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE TREAT

A fancy lunch buffet was being set up
Candy apples must be a favourite
of someone else

I think this room was being set up for
the Bride and Groom
as part of the reception area

The hotel was very busy
Never a dull moment outside

Hello little guy!

Lunch on Friday
Dessert for our nephew
He did share!!!

Hmmmmm

These fellows hung on the wall
in the hallway
on the way to the Cafe
Had to pass them in order
to get our breakfast and coffee

Many flags graced the main entrance
of the hotel

Welcome to
Chateau Lake Louise

MOTEL TO HOTEL

Wednesday evening of last week we drove into Shelby, Montana
to spend our last night on the road before
crossing the border to enter
CANADA

We had unit # 59
A very strange set up for a  motel

We had to go around to the back
of this building to get to our unit
The motel seemed to consume a city block

We had breakfast at the local cafe
This fellow was waiting for his owner

His owner probably told him
not to 'talk' to strangers
He wouldn't have anything
to do with us!

All settled in again
The cats love my lap!

Yeah

These Alberta grain elevators
are still in use

We are in cowboy country
Hats and boots

Lethbridge Alberta
Original home of the
 Royal Canadian Mounted Police

Happy face on a barn
Trans Canada Highway

This grocery cart will be filled with wedding presents for
Curt and Chris that we
brought out with us

This is an excellent book
which I read
along the way

Three Sisters
Coming into Canmore

This little gal was peddling
as fast as she could

Coming into Banff National Park

A beautiful sight

Building another crossover
for the wildlife

Truly a magnificent hotel

the next few days

A QUICK HELLO

Tonight we are in Shelby, Montana

Hotels and Motels are full

We are lucky to have found
a room for the night

We are 400 K from Calgary, Alberta

On our way out of Sturgis this morning
we did a quick tour of the town

A very colourful flower shop

FLOWERS BY ROSE

Sturgis has a community of around 6500 people
During the motorcycle rally it grows to between
300,000 to 400,000

The Knuckle Saloon

Joe knows of this place!

Antelope

The open road

We had to take a little detour in a town
and this is what we saw!

Montana Sky
