LAST NIGHT AND TODAY

I was going to do a blog on
the Niagara vineyards
however
I changed my mind

Last evening we met friends in Corunna for dinner
When we came out of the restaurant
the sky to the north was black
We hustled down to the ferry dock
hopped on the ferry
and over we went
across the water
We heard thunder and saw lightning
in the distance
We wondered if we would get to the cottage
before the rain came
but
no such luck
Joe was counting the time between the thunder and lightning
14 then down to 10 then down to 4
To close for comfort for me!

Horray.........

We made it!!!!!!

THIS MORNING

One

Two

Three

When I got up this morning
 there were
three swams out in front of
 our next door
neighbour's cottage

My..... they are beautiful creatures

This was our way across the river this morning

We had to get across as Gwendolyn had a Dr. appointment at 10 a.m.

We have the ferry driver
We have the ferry driver 'fixer'

Gwendolyn has no problem going
to the Dr.
She wags her little tail each time she
goes through the door

She hops up on the bench
She is very patient

Putting in the data
Gwennie has a 'sore' eye again
She went for a walk and got into the bull rushes
She scratched her eye
Did you know that bull dogs do not blink
as often as other dogs
thus
they are subject to more eye problems

Second visit in three days
She goes back again next Friday

The ferry is back in business
The 'fixer' fixed it

Check out the ferry driver's hat
It looks like a coyboy hat
It is leather
 Whoa

Everyone love Gwennie

We walk to the cottage when we can
but today we needed the cart

There's a wild turkey in this picture 'somewhere'
We spotted it as we were
going through the forest

This is exciting
We have been waiting for almost 2 years for a new dock

It's going to be great eh

Our first visitors to the island

Sisters
Carole's sister Jacqueline arrived a few days
ago from England

So..... we have
two sisters
and
a brother and a sister

What a day

The sun shone all day!!!!!!!

  1. Awh my sweet wee Gwennie ! Poor little girl. I sure hope her eye responds well to the treatments. She's an amazing dog and so easy to love with that huge personality of hers. The pictures of the 3 swans are magnificent. Please give Gwennie lots of hugs, love & kisses for me. :o)
