Arizona sunsets are breathtaking
Take a look!
YESTERDAY
This is the view from our back deck
Every few minutes or even less
the sky would change
Pinks and blues and oranges too
TODAY
Our daughter flew home today
having a direct flight with
WEST JET
from Phoenix to Vancouver
'The pugs in their crate'
Into Sky Harbour they go
The dogs going through security
Everything inside the crate was checked
Even the dogs had a
pat down
Once the dogs were cleared
they were put back in their crate
Jennifer wanted to give them a treat
but was not allowed
The dogs were confused with having a treat
almost given to them then
taken away
What a cruel trick
After we had lunch with Jen
we walked her to security
The ABC television newsmen
were at gate B
The 'broadcaster' approached us
Would I answer a few questions?
Sure I said
There were protesters at the airport
and he was wondering if
we were concerned about the
'pat down'
and
other issues about flying
on one of the busiest days of the year
that being the day before the
American Thanksgiving
Five o'clock news came along
and there I was on
ABC channel 15
A few words were taken from the interview
GOOD, VERY GOOD, VERY ORGANIZED
That was it!!!!!!!
Pretty funny!!!!!!!
When we left the airport there
were planes everywhere in the sky
One after the other.....
they were coming in to land
After picking up vegetables for our
Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow
we came home
poured a glass of wine
and enjoyed time on our new deck
The sun will be setting soon
This was a comforting place for me
I was feeling a bit blue
not easy saying goodbye
to children
when you know you will not see them
for months
The new steps are not quite finished

Oh Dianne, my heart goes out to you, I have tears in my eyes just seeing the pictures of airport & Jen leaving, I do know how you feel

Once again, Dianne, your photos are outstanding. We are so lucky to be living here in this beautiful area. Thanks for sharing photos of your deck where I'm sure you and Joe will be spending many peaceful hours. Great job in the building of it. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO THE TWO OF YOU!

I agree it is sad to see the kids leave. I think I'll grab me a glass of wine for you !! lol The sunset pictures are worthy of a tourist magazine or postcard !
