KAHAH OUTING

Yesterday we hopped in the van
Gwennie was on board
We didn't know where we were going to go
so
just started driving

We drove around Kahah Lake
The water was like glass

It appears there is a raft out
in the lake

Jumped out of the van to take a
few photos of the deer that were
grazing in someone's pasture

We got off the beat'n track as Joe
wanted to see White Lake
He had noticed a sign for an Observatory
and
decided to investigate the area

Driving along the road we came across a pet cemetery

I had Joe turn the van around
Back we went to see what it
was all about

Close to the entrance there is a
bench in memory of Nanook

I decided to take a walk around the cemetary

A favourite toy maybe??

Looks like a Christmas wreath

There were six cats in this area

Ginger and Frankie were
among the cats

Lots of stones
The pet's owner would have
had to bring them to
the cemetery

We heard a lovely bird singing

'Boy' must have been a neat cat

Quite an interesting log barn
that we passed on our way back to the highway

Wonder what the story is
with this barn????

We're on the other side of the lake now
heading back to Penticton

You never know what you are going to see
when you detour off the main road .......

Must say

Joe said to Gwendolyn
'There is a hole over there
waiting for you'

IMAGINE SAYING THAT

Gwendolyn didn't pay
any attention to what he said

GOOD GIRL GWENNIE

  2. Only the two of you would find a pet cemetery while driving around! Interesting photos and food for thought.

  4. It's fun going on trips with you. Having lost 2 dogs and not knowing of any pet cemetaries we spread their ashes - one in the mountains and fortunately the most loved dog's ashes are still here. Thanks for experience. Jeanette
