THE AMERICAN'S LAST DAY ON THE CANADIAN ISLAND

Today is our grand-daughter's friend's
last day on the island

We will be on the river
in the middle of the night
as we head to the mainland

We will drive an hour or so to the airport
We'll say good-bye to
a very sweet girl who
loves ice-cream cones
for dessert
and
drinks water
like it is going out of style!

It has been
'lots of fun'
having the
'girlfriend'
visit us on the island

We were up early this morning
to partake in a
dock breakfast

The girls had the honour of being photographed
with our
Canadian astronaut
who spent his childhood summers
on the island
as did our children

As the girls were walking away
he called them back
'Let's all fold our arms'
he said...
SO
They did what they were told!!!!!

The girls are displaying the club house
where our son
will be married in two weeks

According to the grand-daughter
the friend was imitating her
from an earlier incident

Papa went over some waves
and the girl went flying off the seat
LOL

The girlfriend loved the boat
and was very friendly
waving to all the passing boaters

When we arrived back at the cottage
our neighbour brought over his
kitten who is a 1/2 sister to Bing

Well
The three animal lovers
thought one kitten was not good enough
so we went over to check out
Bing's brother
who travelled with Bing
from Nova Scotia

Well
That wasn't good enough either
SO
the granddaughter went back to the cottage
and brought over Bing

The sister was checking him out

You smell familiar!!!!

Of course Gwendolyn had to be
in on the action

The girls hit the water for a one on one
volleyball game
Once again,
Gwendolyn was in on the action

Fun in the water

On to a quiet time
Between the girls they have
read 5 books
since being at the cottage

The grand-daughter

We took the girls to the tip of the island
and as you walk out
you have to 'fight' the water
as the current is 6 knots

The girls are out there
It took them forever to walk out
and seconds to come back in
as they floated underwater

Here comes the captain
He dropped us off
while he went to the mainland
to get gas

Chillin in the river

The friend asked the girlfriend
to sum up her holiday
in three words

SUPER DOOPER FUN!
