A GET-TOGETHER FORTY YEARS IN THE MAKING

As you will recall we left Windsor at 6:00 a.m.
to be around home for Graham's big day
We were greeted at the dock by Graham
'What are you doing home'

Oh we said
We just wanted to be here

We had breakfast together then before we knew it
it was time for Graham to head to
the mainland

His Dad gave him a ride in the boat
I was running around the cottage
trying to remember where I had put
my camera as I wanted to
capture the moment
as the two of them were going up river

No such luck
They were way too fast!

We had a good day here
Joe was busy working on the dock
I did some gardening
then laid low while listening
to a CD that Casey and Mugan
had given their guests
THE MUSIC WAS BEAUTIFUL
It was especially soothing as I
knew Casey and Mugan
had chosen the music
and each song obviously
meant a great deal to them
My thoughts were all about Graham and Jackie
What would it be like when they first met????

We were having dinner outside when he appeared
HE WAS HAPPY
HE HAD A BIG SMILE ON HIS FACE
IT WAS A VERY GOOD DAY

Graham had a good story for us....

As it turns out
Jackie's hairdresser
is
Carrie
who happens to be............
Graham's sister Stephanie's
sister-in-law
and
Graham's sister Jennifer's
friend
What are the odds????

(We arrived in the Sarnia/Corunna area in 1972.........
Jackie arrived in Sarnia around 1981)

Sunday morning approached
We were meeting Jackie for the first time
Off to the Sarnia marina we went

A long line of people were waiting for a table
The three of us were early but we joined the line
A couple of minutes later
Graham said
Mom this is Jackie

It was immediate
There were hugs
There were tears
and
A thank you
and
A thank you back

We had a wonderful breakfast
Lots of talking
Afterward we went for a walk along the river
Photos were taken
Quiet private moments
 A peaceful time

Here are photos
which tell a lovely story

We flew the British Columbia flag

It was time to go

We dropped Graham off at
ferry dock hill
then back to Pier 90 to pick up our car
We would meet Graham at the marina

We went out on the docks after breakfast
looking for Graham's cousin Kim
hoping she and family were
at their boat
No such luck

When in Arizona my granddaughter Zoe
picked out a little summer dress
and said
Granny you should buy this
OK
It was a special day so I chose
to wear a special dress!!!

One tall dude
and
one little lady

No words needed

I will quote Jackie's friend Pat

This is short of a miracle

Prayers have been answered

Once more

LIFE IS GOOD

ACTUALLY

life is really good!
